Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Couchside iPhone app ("the app"), made by {{DEVELOPER_NAME}}, {{POSTAL_ADDRESS}} ("we").

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third‑party SDKs. We do not receive any information about you or how you use the app.

What stays on your iPhone

The app saves, on your device only: the players you added (name, model and local network address), starred and recently opened channels, your routines and your settings. Deleting the app deletes all of it. You can also remove a player in the Devices tab.

Local network

To find and control your player, the app sends requests to devices on your own Wi‑Fi network (port 8060). These requests stay on your local network and do not reach us.

Microphone and speech recognition

The microphone is used only while you hold the voice button. Your words are turned into text by Apple's speech recognition — on your iPhone when it supports this, otherwise by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The text is used immediately to send a command to your player and is not stored or sent to us. You can turn off either permission at any time in iPhone Settings › Couchside.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you use Couchside actions in Siri or the Shortcuts app, they send the same local commands to your player. We receive nothing.

Third parties

We share no data with anyone, because we have none. Your streaming player handles the commands it receives under its maker's own terms.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights and deletion

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Data saved on your device is removed when you delete the app. Questions: {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
